Changelog

Every GeoPhoto release, newest first. The app shows the same notes when it offers an update.

0.1.1

Latest
  • The map opens as a vector map right away, even on the first launch while thumbnails are still being made (before, it could show the plain tile map for several seconds first).
  • Maps, updates and licensing work on a freshly installed Windows. Before, a computer that had rarely used a browser could fail every secure connection, leaving the map blank.
  • The installer's Chinese pages no longer show boxes instead of characters on some systems.
  • GPX matching: the rules sit above the timeline and camera cards, so switching "Overwrite existing GPS" no longer moves the switch; looking at a camera's offset no longer turns it into a manual offset.
  • Menus and pop-ups hold still while they are open.

0.1.0

The first public release of GeoPhoto for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

  • Put photos on the map: drag photos from the filmstrip onto the map, or click to place them; batch placement and a queue of photos still missing a location.
  • Match a GPX track: import a track from a watch, phone or bike computer, preview the matches, and calibrate the camera clock before applying.
  • Fix capture times: correct a camera clock that ran fast or slow, or a wrong time zone, per camera, with daylight saving handled.
  • Edit EXIF in place: change capture details and ratings in the inspector, for one photo or many.
  • JPEG, HEIC, PNG, WebP and camera RAW (Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus and more).
  • Footprint editor: turn a trip's photos into a route and export it as GPX.
  • Safe by design: nothing is written until you press Save; the original of each photo is kept the first time it changes; every save can be undone from the photo's history.

Free to use with every feature; changes are saved for up to 50 photos. A lifetime license for GeoPhoto 1.x removes the limit — see https://www.getgeophoto.com/pricing.
